Diversity Immigrant Visa Lottery
Konsta Law Firm, LLC., can assist you with the process that includes providing supporting documentation and attending a visa applicant interview.
Applicants will be selected at random by a computer-generated drawing from all qualified entries and must meet either the education or work experience requirement. Those selected will be notified by mail between May and July of the following year. They will be provided with further instructions. Applicants not selected in the Green Card Lottery will NOT receive any notification. The State Department, USCIS, United States embassies and consulates will not be able to provide a list of successful applicants. Spouses and unmarried children under age 21 of successful applicants may also apply for visas to accompany or follow to join the principal applicant. If you are selected, you should follow the instructions on the letter immediately. The Kentucky Consular Center will mail out the winning notification letters (Notice of Approval) advising individuals that they have been chosen and given a lottery rank number in their assigned geographical area.
The applicant can choose to complete the application process in the United States, if he/she is already in the country (adjustment of status), or if they are outside of the United States, at U.S. embassy or consulate. If the applicant wants to continue the application process, he/she needs to file the additional application forms, pay the fees, and provide the supporting documentation.
The applicant will have to attend an interview at the USCIS or a U.S. embassy / consulate abroad. Once the application is approved, the applicant may enter the United States on an “immigrant” visa or adjust their status if already in the United States
